Jesus Festival Bangalore. Day 1

A huge amount of work was performed to make this big event happen: booking of the grounds, permissions, and ongoing preparations. A big promotion company included hundreds of thousands of flyers, thousands of posters, hundreds of different billboards and banners, advertisement on buses and vans, several TV channels and newspapers. Preparations of the grounds started several days prior to the Festival. They included the cleaning of the grounds, placement of chairs, installation of the stage, sound system, LED screens, and lights.

The program started with praise and worship led by the Indian worship team. A huge choir consisted of nearly 1000 people! Then pastor Henry Madava was invited to share the Word of God with the congregation. He spoke about Jesus, who wants to be a neighbor of every person. He told a story about one man in the Bible who was bitten and robbed on his way from Jerusalem to Jericho and who got help from a Samaritan. Pastor Henry made an analogy with Jesus, who always comes to give life and give it abundantly. “The life of Jesus is much more than the power of the sickness and death,” pastor Henry said. “He is going to heal the sick, so that the lame could walk, blind see, deaf hear. He is the healer, deliverer, and the one who shows mercy. He has compassion on you. Jesus is here tonight ready to touch you,” pastor Henry continued. Then pastor Henry invited people to follow him in a prayer for their forgiveness of sins and blessing. People who raised their hands and prayed this prayer were asked to fill a special prayer form that they could exchange for a free gift from pastor Henry: his book “Saved! Let’s Lay the Foundation,” which was printed in English and Tamil language. There were about 1500 filled cards collected on this day!

After a short break for worship, pastor Henry prayed for the sick. People were lifting their hands to God asking for a miracle. God has responded to them and healed many of them. One girl could not walk since her birth, and God has healed her today! He made her first steps! One man testified that he had a tumor in his back that disappeared during the prayer! One girl had a liquid tumor in her head. She felt God's presence during the prayer and God healed her! One man suffered from tuberculosis since he was 9 years old. He felt pain in the lower back when walking. God healed him during the prayer! One woman could not move her neck for 15 years, and she felt severe pain. God healed her, and she can freely turn her head now! There have been many other miraculous healings that God has performed on this day.
