Jesus Festival in Mae Sot (Thailand). Day 1

Jesus Festival in Mae Sot (Thailand). Day 1

Christ for All Cities Ministries is in Thailand again! This time the Jesus Festival (or Miracle Night, as Thai people call it) is taking place in Mae Sot—a small town in western Thailand, located in Tak province and bordering Myanmar (Burma). The name “Mae Sot” in Thai is generally interpreted as a “new settlement by river.” Being located in the immediate vicinity to Myanmar, Mae Sot has population consisting of multiple nationalities, including Thai, Burmese, and other ethnic groups. Mae Sot is often described as a “melting pot” because of its cross-border migration and refugee flows from Myanmar. It is the first time this town and province are hosting a Gospel event of such a scale.

Like the previous Jesus Festival in Buriram, which took place less than two months ago, this event was organized a part of the ambitious EveryONE Thailand Project. With support from the Global Evangelist Alliance (GEA), EveryONE Thailand is committed to reach each province of Thailand with the Gospel and the Good News about Jesus Christ. The Miracle Night in Mae Sot was promoted using various channels: banners and billboards placed around the city, car and motorbike stickers, advertising in public transport, radio, TV, social media, newspapers, posters, flyers, and special Gospel trucks with banners and loudspeakers.

Pastor Henry Madava came to Mae Sot with a big team of Ukrainian ministers, who could travel all the way from Ukraine despite the devastating war going on in their country. The day before the beginning of the Jesus Festival, Pastor Henry was ministering at the Revival Night in one of the Mae Sot churches to empower and strengthen the pastors and believers of this town and province. God moved in a powerful way among the pastors, who were filled with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Festival took place on the market grounds—a spot of land usually used for trading. In the morning, the grounds looked like an anthill: everyone was working, setting up sound, lights, cameras, musical instruments, other equipment, rehearsing dances and vocal turns, and arranging places for the seriously ill people. Then buses with people began to arrive, many of them were sick. Many people came on their own. Some people joined the event because they heard the sound of music coming from the grounds.

The program began with the opening ceremony and performance of guest artists. There were singers on stage, a blogger with his own testimony of repentance, and dancers in bright national costumes.  Then worship to the Lord followed.

Before going on the stage, Pastor Henry Madava prayed for the seriously ill people, for whom separate seats were reserved on the grounds. Pastor Henry started his message with acknowledging wonderful churches of Mae Sot, worship team, and volunteers for their hard work in making this event possible.

Pastor Henry preached that Jesus Christ is able and wants to solve people’s problems. “Get ready to receive your miracle. Power of God is enough. The Bible is God’s book. His words have power,” Pastor Henry urged everyone to be ready to receive a miracle.

Jesus is the problem solver! This is your night!

Pastor Henry told people a story from the Gospel of John (chapter 4). There was a nobleman whose son was at the point of death. When the nobleman came to Jesus with that problem, Jesus proclaimed the words of faith on nobleman’s son. The nobleman believed in the words of Jesus and went back home. When he reached home, he found his son had been completely healed exactly at the time when Jesus had spoken His words. Jesus came so that everyone could have life and have it more abundantly.

There is nothing impossible with Jesus! He does impossible! He is ready to help you! Jesus is a miracle maker!

“The main miracle is the salvation that Jesus gives. Jesus is the Son of God. He died for our sins. He raised from dead. He forgives sins. He gives new beginning. Tonight you can receive forgiveness of sins,” Pastor Henry addressed to the crowd. Then he invited people to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Nearly half a thousand Thais, Myanmas, and people of other ethnicities living in Tak Province responded to the invitation and accepted Jesus into their hearts!

After a short pause, Pastor Henry prayed for the sick. The words of Jesus have life, have power, have authority. Pastor Henry commanded the spirit of disease to go, in the name of Jesus. “Be healed by the power of God! Father in heaven, do your signs and wonders among people!” he prayed. “Do what you couldn’t do before!” he addressed to everyone on the grounds.

During the prayer for the sick, Jesus performed miracles, confirming Pastor Henry’s sermon.

A man with an immune system disorder could not move without a cane. He was sitting in the sector for seriously ill people, and Pastor Henry had prayed for him before he began preaching. This man came on stage to testify of his healing, he no longer needs a cane!

A woman had dizziness and headache for three years. She is feeling well now!

Another woman was paralyzed on the right side of her body, and she was also sitting in the sector for seriously ill people. Pastor Henry prayed for her before the sermon as well. At the end of the service, the woman came on stage to testify about her healing!

A 30-year lady’s left ear had been deaf since birth. She can hear with it now!

Another lady could not hear with her left ear for eight years. It was open during the Miracle Night! Jesus was opening ears in Mae Sot!

A young man had problem with his knees. He can bend his knees now! He got his healing despite the fact he didn’t understand Thai!

A gentleman came with diarrhoea, which lasted for one week. He feels much better now!

Part of lady’s body was paralyzed. She received Jesus and was healed during the prayer!

A man had knee pain for two years. He can bend them over now!

Glory to Jesus for everything! This is just the beginning! Just the first day! We are waiting for even more miracles! We are grateful to all the partners of Christ for All Cities Ministries for their prayers and financial support!

In addition to people who attended the event in person, there were more than 40,000 views of livestream!
