Jesus Festival in Buriram (Thailand). Day 1
Christ for All Cities Ministries is coming back to Thailand and the city of Buriram! In Thai, Buriram literally means the “city of happiness.” It was this city that hosted the first Jesus Festival in Thailand far back in 2008. The Miracle Night event, as local people call it, was the place where many people could witness healings, deliverances, and miracles. Besides an enormous impact on people and the local church, Jesus Festival had a profound influence on the city itself. The city had been transformed over the years after the Jesus Festival. A new stadium was built on the grounds where the festival took place. In addition, the second stadium was built to host various sports events like a moto rally. The airport was built not far away from the city. A new mall and other modern buildings reshaped the city. Buriram has become a tourist center that is developing very rapidly. God has brought prosperity to Buriram.
Now, 17 years later, Buriram is hosting the Jesus Festival again. It got the name of Miracle Night 2—just reminding to everyone that it is the time for even greater miracles. This event is a part of the whole series of Gospel events organized all over Thailand by different evangelistic ministries with support from the Global Evangelist Alliance in the framework of a large EveryONE Thailand Project. EveryONE Thailand is committed to reach each province of Thailand with the Gospel and the Good News about Jesus Christ. The EveryONE Thailand Committee allocated the province of Buriram to Christ for All Cities Ministries, giving credit to the fact that spreading the Gospel in Thailand started in this province and spread over the country. Buriram has become the place of revival.
The local committee united the churches of Buriram to participate in the event and to send volunteers. The preparations started long before the beginning of the Jesus Festival and included the joint work of the local committee and the EveryONE Thailand National Committee. The stadium that was booked to host the event is located exactly on the same place where the first Jesus Festival took place.
When the time of Jesus Festival approached, the mass promotion of the event started in the city. 10 radio stations spread the news about the Jesus Festival. There were 10 large banners placed on the main crossroads in the city, and hundreds of smaller banners. 100 banners were put on the public transport, and there were 300 cars running in the city with the stickers inviting people to come to the Miracle Night with Pastor Henry Madava. 12 pickups with banners and loudspeakers were running over the city in the last 7 days before the festival. There was a Gospel truck provided by the EveryONE Thailand Committee that could bring the sound equipment to different parts of the city to organize outreaches and spread the news about the event. A day before the festival, the local Committee organized a press release for the media in front of the city municipality. The press release was concluded with a caravan march—when all 12 pickups with banners and loudspeakers were lined one by one and moved in a column over the city.
The preparations at the stadium started one day in advance. The stage, sound equipment, and LED had been ready by the evening of that day. That day concluded with a fervent prayer meeting, where pastors and all the volunteers were praying for the event to be a success. The prayer concluded with a march around the stadium—the time of proclamation of God’s will and power over the stadium, the city, and the entire province.
In the afternoon of the first day of the event, everything was ready for the start. In the morning of the first day of the festival, the local Committee gathered together at the Church of Buriram to meet with Pastor Henry, to speak about the event, and to pray. Despite the war in Ukraine, Pastor Henry and his team managed to come to Thailand. “I believe for the revival in Thailand that will go beyond Thailand,” Pastor Henry addressed to the pastors of Buriram. “We are believing for miracles. Whatever we receive, we give to others,” he continued. “God changes lives, God changes history,” concluded his message Pastor Henry.
People started to arrive to the stadium far in advance. They used buses, trucks, cars, and even motorcycles to reach the stadium. Many of these means of transportation were organized by the local committee and paid from the budget allocated to the event by Christ for All Cities Ministries. In total, over 2000 people came to the stadium using the transportation hired to bring people to the event. The evening program started with music and artist performances. People could also hear several testimonies of God’s miracles in the lives of people.
After the worship time, Pastor Henry was invited to come to the stage to preach. He spoke about God’s love revealed to people through Jesus Christ. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. “Expect your miracles,” Pastor Henry addressed to the people at the stadium. After finishing his message, he invited people to accept Jesus as their Lord. More than 700 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ on that day.
Before starting to pray for the sick, Pastor Henry invited those who had already been healed while he was preaching to give their testimonies. A woman could not raise her right arm for a year. The power of God touched her, and she was able to lift her arm after that. Another woman could not bend her knees for almost one year. The pain diappeared while she was staying at the stadium. There was also a woman who could not walk for a year because it was very painful. Now she can walk freely, filled with God’s power. Two women got their sight restored. Praise the Lord!
After listening to these testimonies, Pastor Henry encouraged people to expect their miracles. He started to pray for the sick, commanding any kind of sickness to leave people in the name of Jesus. After Pastor Henry finished to pray, many people rushed to the stage to give their testimonies. There were too many testimonies of healings to hear them all.
► A woman was an unbeliever. She was in a car accident several years ago. After the accident, she had severe pain in her bones and was very weak. The pain left her during the prayer, and her strength was restored! She gave her life to Jesus Christ!
► A man was paralyzed for two years, and now he can walk. He was brought to the stadium being paralyzed. He received healing there and started to walk!
► A woman could not see for five years. She can see clearly now, and everything she sees is in color!
► God touched a woman who could not raise her hands. She can raise her hands now. Her back used to hurt. The pain left her, and she could bend over!
► Another women fell and broke her knee. She could not bend it, and now she can even jump!
► A man was confined to a wheelchair for two months, as one of his legs did not work. He can walk on his own without assistance now!
► A woman was crippled. Her foot was twisted to the other side, and she could not walk. God’s fire touched her, and her foot straightened out in the right direction!
► A man was paralyzed after a motorcycle accident and was confined to a wheelchair. He came without any help to the stage from the other side of the stadium to testify about God’s miracle. He was so happy because God had healed him!
► A woman had kidney problems. Despite treatment, she had a severe pain during day and night. The pain left her during the prayer!
► A 23-year-old girl was born dumb. She can speak now, as God healed her!
The miracles continued on the next day of the Jesus Festival. We are grateful to all the partners of Christ for All Cities Ministries for their prayers and financial support!
