Jesus Festival in Cairo (Egypt). Concluding day
The last (third) day of the Jesus Festival in Cairo (Egypt) started from the morning meeting for pastors that took place in the central part of Cairo in the building of one of the Cairo churches. After a short praise and worship time, pastor Henry Madava started his teaching. He shared his heart with the pastors who were present at the meeting. Pastor Henry told them that the church needs the final push for the coming of Jesus Christ. It is the time when Egypt comes in and is starting to be involved in this last time work for the Kingdom of God. This Kingdom needs people who are standing between the living and the dead. Pastor Henry asked God to touch our generation because God is calling men and women to the ministry. Then pastor Henry told how he was called to the ministry. It is Jesus who can make one the minister of the Gospel. Pastor Henry challenged the pastors not to look for the titles but to be the ministers of the Gospel.
Then pastor Henry taught about the power of God. The power comes from the time you spend with Jesus. Pastors need a touch from heaven to start their ministry from a revelation from God. Since the kingdom of God is a doing kingdom, the church of Jesus Christ should be a doing church. The church has the working power of God—the same power He used to raise Jesus from the dead. With this power, Egypt will be saved!
After finishing his message, pastor Henry prayed for pastors and laid his hands on most of them. Many pastors were touched by the presence of God.
The last service of the Jesus Festival started in the evening. It took place inour shelter place for the last three days—the Baptist church in the midst of the sand at the outer boundary of Cairo. Before starting his message, pastor Henry prayed for the seriously ill people outside the church and laid his hands on them, including one lady sitting on the wheelchair. After coming to the pulpit, pastor Henry first thanked those people who helped with the organization of the Jesus Festival: the Egyptian pastor who was in charge of the coordination of the event in Cairo, the pastor of the church who allowed us to conduct the event in his church, the Christ for All Cities team that came with pastor Henry from Ukraine (there was also one pastor from Kazakhstan who joined the team), all the ushers and volunteers, and the technical team. He urged pastors to stay in unity because unity strengthens the church.
“He called me son” was the title of pastor’s message. Pastor Henry read from the Gospel of Mark2:2–12 about the paralyzed man who was brought to Jesus’ meeting. He could not walk and was lying on the mat, so that four men had to carry him. There was no direct way to the meeting because of the crowd, and they had to enter the place through the roof! When Jesus saw them and their faith, he first addressed the paralyzed man calling him the son. Then Jesus told to that man: arise, take you bed and go home! The man got up, immediately picked up his mat, and went out in front of all the people. When Jesus speaks, there is life and power in his words!God has the power to set people free! God has given us the spirit of adoption. He loved us so much that He gave his own Son to die for us.Finishing his message, pastor Henry invited people to pray the prayer of salvation for them to become the children of God. Many people reacted on pastor’s call and prayed that prayer. More than 600 decision cards were collected this evening! All these people will join the local churches after the Jesus Festival.
The Holy Spirit occupied the Baptist church and the surrounding area even before pastor Henry has arrived at the place. The power of God has started to manifest itself while pastor Henry was preaching. People started to receive their miracles directly on their seats while they were listening to pastor Henry preaching. Before starting to pray for the sick, pastor Henry invited those who had already received healing from God during the meeting to come in front and give their testimonies. One lady had a pain in her back for a long time. While pastor was preaching, the pain left her. Another woman testified about the miracle she had got a day before. Her leg was paralyzed because of the stroke. She was at the Jesus Festival on the previous day. After she came home, she realized that she could move with her leg and could sleep withoutpain killers because there was no pain any more!
Then pastor Henry started to pray for the sick. “Be healed if you are sick tonight,” he proclaimed, “God is here to touch your life!” While pastor Henry was praying on the stage, the Christ for All Cities team was moving around the church and outside praying for people and laying their hands on the sick. There was a paralyzed woman sitting on her wheelchair outside the church (the same woman whom pastor Henry prayed for when he arrived to the church). She had been paralyzed since her birth. She was watching what is going inside the church on the big screen. Somebody from the Christ for All Cities team came and laid his hands on her and started to pray. Suddenly, seeing the faith of this woman, the minister commanded to her: “Stand up and walk!”, much like Jesus commanded the paralyzed man to stand up from his mat in the Gospel of Mark. It required a big effort from the woman to raise. But she did it with the help of the ushers standing nearby. Then she started to walk, step by step. Several people from the Christ for All Cities team continued to pray for her while she was walking. She did it with a bigger and bigger confidence with each new step. She went directly upstairs inside the church to give her testimony in front of the whole congregation. After the meeting finished, she went down walking back to her home on her own legs! She does not need a wheelchair any more!
Many other people received their miracles as well. There were too many healings this evening to write about all of them.
One man was born without a kidney and was suffering from the elevated blood pressure because of that. During the prayer, his blood pressure has normalized. At the same time, he felt a strong pain from the right side in the place when there was no kidney. It seems God made a surgery for him to have a new kidney!
One woman had a broken coccyx and she could not walk for the last four months. The pain has left her completely during the prayer. She can move freely now!
One lady could not hear with her right ear for almost 20 years. During the prayer, she suddenly felt the fire coming out of her ear. She started to hear well after that! One girl also had the problems with her ears, and she had to use an otophone. After the prayer, she could hear without that device! Her hearing was restored! There was a man who had been deaf for the last 10–15 years. He also had problems with his bladder and his leg. During the prayer, he felt the restoration in his body. He started to hear and all the pain left him!
After the meeting ended, pastor Henry met with the Egyptian team who had been working hard to organize the Jesus Festival. He thanked all these people. We would like to thank all the partners of the Christ for All Cities Ministries for their prayers and financial support! The Jesus Festival in Cairo took place owing to your valuable support! God bless you!
